Female duo, bank teller nabbed after surveillance photos see light



MARCH 1--Police tonight arrested two young women, a bank teller, and a fourth accomplice in connection with Tuesday's robbery of a Bank of America branch in Acworth, Georgia. The inside job was allegedly pulled off by Ashley Nicole Miller and Heather Lyn Johnston who are pictured in the below mug shots (Miller is at left). The women, both 19, were aided by Michael Chastang, 27, and Benny Herman Allen, a 22-year old bank employee.


Barbie Bandits: Hair Priority One


ATLANTA -- We’re learning more about what the so-called "Barbie Bandits" were doing days after they allegedly robbed a metro Atlanta bank branch.

Surveillance video shows them at an upscale hair salon shopping and paying with wads of cash.

The so-called “Barbie Bandits” had the money to pay cash inside an upscale hair salon -- Carter Barnes inside Phipps Plaza.

Police say Ashley Miller and Heather Johnston were the girls once caught on tape smiling with large sunglasses taking money from a bank and then days later the manager of a hair salon says the same girls were captured on surveillance video at the salon.

The surveillance video shows the two girls walking down the hallway of the salon, making hair appointments, shopping and apparently having a good time.

MARIETTA, Ga. (Crime Library ) — After two days on the lam, the so-called Barbie Bandits have been captured.

Late Thursday, Cobb County police announced the arrest of Ashley Miller and Heather Johnston, both 19, of Fulton County, Ga. for felony theft in connection with a daring daylight heist at a suburban Atlanta branch of Bank of America.
